Reports To: Executive Sous Chef & Executive Chef

Job Description: Join a one-of-a-kind community built around the premier private motorsports club in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Sous Chef and CDC and assist in leading all food and beverage operations from the ground up. This is an extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with a 20-year veteran of the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, create distinctive menus for multiple outlets, and craft unforgettable dining experiences for an elite membership. The Executive Sous Chef will play a vital role in defining the culinary identity of the club, with the resources to execute at the highest level, and the support of a truly collaborative environment.
Professional Qualifications:
Proven execution as a Sous Chef in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or a private club/resort environment
Strong track record of seasonal cooking, delivering elevated dining experiences and leading by example
Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined
Passion for farm-to-table cuisine and creative use of fresh ingredients
Culinary degree or 2-3 years equivalent professional training preferred
Excellent organizational, and communication skills
Adaptability to a unique, non-traditional schedule of operations in a member-driven environment
Working expertise in cooking techniques, health and safety guidelines and working in a collaborative team environment
Essential Duties:
Assist Executive Sous & Executive Chef in overseeing prep production, ordering, and inventory control
Manage food costs, waste control, and proper storage practices
Assist and support the culinary team with the execution of our menu at the highest level
Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to build a world-class F&B program from the ground up
Lead by example & inspire the entire culinary team to consistently deliver excellence
Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
Contribute to the long-term vision and growth of the culinary program as new outlets are developed

Working Conditions:
The Sous Chef will begin in a temporary kitchen environment while the Flatrock Motorclub clubhouse is under development. This requires flexibility, adaptability, and a creative approach to delivering a high level of culinary service within a developing operation. The position involves standing for extended periods, working in non-traditional conditions. Candidates should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors during events and race weekends.
As construction progresses, the Sous Chef will play an active role in shaping the design, functionality, and flow of the new clubhouse kitchen and food & beverage outlets. This transitional period offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the operational foundation of a world-class culinary program.
